Welcome to Cat sitting by Gemma. A friendly, reliable cat sitting service in Egham, Surrey caring for your cats in their own home.

I know how difficult it can be finding someone to take care of your cat while you're away. And if your cat is nervous, older or on medication you may want to avoid a cattery where they are in an unfamiliar environment.
I've owned and loved cats all my life and regularly cat sit for friends and family when they're away. You can rest assured that I am good with nervous, shy and older cats as well as the bold, brave and feisty ones. I appreciate each cat has their own preferences and I'll take your guidance on their likes and dislikes.
I offer everything your cat needs while you're away - clean bowls and litter trays, fresh food and water, medication, playtime, strokes and cuddles (if they like it)!
If you'd like me to, I'll open and close curtains, switch lights on and off and put your bins out on collection day. I'll keep you regularly updated with photos of your cat via WhatsApp.
For peace of mind, I have a DBS check and insurance with PetPlan Sanctuary. I offer a free meet and greet beforehand to get your cat's approval, familiarise myself with your cat's routines and discuss any specific requirements such as medication, feeding preferences and where the cleaning products are kept.
I am registered as a cat sitter on Cat in a Flat and Pawshake but I can offer more competitive prices by booking direct.

What I Offer
Cat Sitting
My cat sitting service allows you to make sure your cat is well taken care of when you’re not around. This means you can relax knowing your cat is being looked after in surroundings where they feel most comfortable - at home.

Visits typically last between 30-40 minutes, depending on your cat's needs.
Extended visits
If your cat is used to having you around a lot, you might worry about being away for a long time. I can offer extended visits where I spend 1-2 hours with your cat at a time, this is particularly beneficial for young cats or those that enjoy a lap cuddle.
This may also be suitable for you if you have many pets who require looking after while you're away.
As this service is bespoke to your cat's needs, please get in touch so that I can find out more and provide you with a price per visit.
The process
Please get in touch and we'll have an initial chat about your cat and what you're looking for to ensure I can meet your needs.
If you're interested in booking me to look after your cat, I offer a free meet and greet beforehand to get your cat's approval, familiarise myself with your cat's routines and discuss any specific requirements such as medication, feeding preferences and where the cat supplies and cleaning products are kept.

If you don't have a spare key ready at the meet and greet, you can drop them to my home in Egham or I can collect them from you if I'm passing by - there may be a small fee if I have to make a special trip.

Once you've booked with me, I will send you some paperwork to complete which includes a Client Information Form, details of your Vet, emergency contact details and procedures.

I'll send confirmation of your booking, payment information and a copy of our terms of service too.
And that's it! All that's left is to relax and start looking forward to your trip away knowing your cat will be well looked after during your absence.
